Keeping fit and well, eating a good fertility diet and having regular sex, of course, are all vital. However, there are a couple of useful items which can help when you're trying for a baby, from keeping track of your cycles and periods to helping pinpoint the best time to try.

Or you might prefer to use an app instead; we like period and fertility tracker Clue (but lots of options are available - make sure you read our list of fertility tracking apps too).
Temperature charting is a way of tracking ovulation. Use a basal body thermometer to take yours every morning (and keep track of it in your diary).
Ovulation Prediction Kits, or OPKs, can help you detect the hormone levels in your urine that indicate the best time of the month to try for a baby. Clearblue Digital Ovulations tests are available here.
