It's the end of February, so we're back with another Night Feed Nine
That went quick, didn't it? After a January that seemed to last for at least six months, February has zipped by in what seems like six seconds.
If you're new around here then hello! The TalkMum Night Feed Nine is a collection of nine links to keep you awake and occupied on the night feed. We know it can get lonely in the early hours so we want to give you something to read and watch when no-one's chatting on Twitter and you've scrolled back to the start of time on everyone's Instagram feeds.
So to start off...if you're a new parent - or an old hand at parenting - it might not surprise you to know that new parents will lose up to six years worth of sleep and sleep deprivation hits a new low three months after your child is born, according to a new study. Surely the only surprise here is that it's that little?
If you're going to The Baby Show this weekend, come and say hi! We'll be on the Pregnacare stand with lots of special show offers.
When did you tell people you were expecting a baby? We discussed the right time to tell people you are pregnant...what do you think?
And if you've just found out that you're expecting again, here are five things to do right now.
This month was the second instalment in our TalkMum Book Club, where we discussed Izzy Judd's book Dare to Dream and her podcast, Let's Talk Fertility (which is sponsored by Pregnacare). Have you read, or given it a listen yet? Leave a comment and let us know.
One of the guests on Let's Talk Fertility was Sophie Beresiner, beauty director at Elle Magazine. Following cancer treatment that left her infertile, Sophie is now pursuing parenthood via surrogate, and writing about it in her column for The Times, The Mother Project. You can read all her entries here, in what's a deeply personal and informative insight into something that's not often discussed.
This is an old post, but a great one - 22 utterly bizarre facts about pregnancy (did you know someone was once pregnant for over a YEAR?).
Did you try out Veganuary? Are you still following a vegan diet? If so, make sure you follow everyone on our list of vegan parent bloggers and influencers.
And finally, if you're a fan of comedian and actor Amy Schumer, check out her latest Nextflix special, where she jokes about being a bridesmaid in your 30s and also the difficulties of pregnancy (she's expecting her first child this year).
We'll be back with the next Night Feed Nine in March...make sure you check-out our latest posts in the meantime!
