When you desperately want to conceive but it's taking longer than you'd hoped, you can feel disheartened. But there are some easy things that you can. So here's how to boost your fertility naturally and aid conception...
Have sex. No, we're not trying to state the obvious here, but it's easy to get caught up in all the tricks of getting pregnant, and lose sight of this all important factor.
Work out when you're most fertile. By using a fertility calculator, or an ovulation predictor kit, you can find out which days each month you're most fertile and plan to have sex on those days. These are the days leading up to, and the day of ovulation. It's not exact though, so your best bet is having sex every two to three days throughout the month.
Listen to your body. Even without a fertility calculator, lots of women say they can tell when they are ovulating - look for an increased vaginal discharge (that's a bit gloopy or stretchy like egg white) and an increased libido. Have sex when you notice these signs.

Drink lots of water. It sounds obvious, but when you’re trying to conceive it is very important to drink lots of water (around 8-10 cups a day). This helps ‘clean out’ your system and also increases fertile-quality cervical fluid.
Have sex in certain positions. There's no real research to back this up, but it's thought that having sex in the missionary position is best for successful conception. In this position, the penis reaches the recess at the front of the cervix, meaning sperm is more likely to land at the opening of the uterus.
Lie with your legs in the air after sex. Likewise, there's no evidence to support this theory but many women support their bottom on cushions and even do bicycle movements in the air after sex to encourage the sperm to move through the uterus to the fallopian tubes.
Have an STI check. Pelvic inflammatory disease is common amongst women with the number-one cause being an untreated sexually transmitted infection.
Stay calm. Stress can affect your chances of conceiving - it can affect the part of your brain (the hypothalamus) that regulates your hormones. The hypothalamus is the gland in the brain that controls the hormones required to release your eggs. So staying calm and doing yoga really can help you conceive.
